Elon Musk Rocks Audeze LCD-XC in New EDM Single
Tesla CEO Elon Musk is on a roll. His company’s stock has been soaring lately, making it the second most valuable automaker in the world (bested only by Toyota) and the company is set to release the Model Y crossover earlier than anticipated.
Late last week, Musk revealed that he had released a new EDM song called “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe”, a follow-up to his last hit single, RIP Harambe.
Musk continued to tweet photos of himself behind a mixing board wearing a set of Audeze LCD-XC closed-back headphones.
We spot another set of Sennheiser open-back headphones also in frame. The blue nameplate suggests that it is potentially the Sennheiser HD 600 (https://amzn.to/2RP5DTY), widely regarded as one of the best reference-class open-back headphones under $500.
Elon Musk is closely tied to the music industry with his long-time girlfriend, Grimes. It’s unclear if the headphones or equipment belongs to her, but we’re putting money on these cans belong to the studio. We are now genuinely curious is the Tesla tycoon has any sort of interest in wearable audio given the bespoke nature of Audeze.
Musk’s song, which features album art depicting a Tesla Cybertruck floating near Mars, is available to listen to directly on Spotify.
If your curious, The LCD-XC are currently going for around $1,800 directly from Audeze. The Sennheiser HD 600 costs a more subtle $299 and can be had from Amazon.
